Packet One (P1) has officially launched Malaysia’s first WiMAX service and one of the first in the world to offer WiMAX service commercially. This event took place at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. P1 WiMAX is now available at KLCC, Golden Triangle, Pekeliling, Setapak, Gombak, Seri Rampai, Sentul, Pudu, selected areas in Subang Jaya, USJ 1, USJ 7 and Subang Hi?Tech area. By end of the year P1 targets to extend its WiMAX broadband coverage to Petaling Jaya, Damansara, Klang and Port Klang and others within the Klang Valley, Johor Bahru, Kedah, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and all major towns and cities in the West Coast of Peninsula Malaysia. For a limited time, P1 has introduced two promotion packages to meet the consumer’s and the business need. During the PC Fair, the biggest hype of it was of course PC Fair Booth Babes (the excitement of PC Fair…-:P). Other than that second hype of this PC Fair was WiMax. P1 will be holding an event on the 19^th Aug 2008 to announce about the price, speeds and the packages. The expected prices are range from RM60 and RM160 per month now for speeds that range from 384Kbps to 4Mbps. This means you can choose the package which suits you the best which depends on the bandwidth.
