Sorry for the late update on the last edition of the Euro Trip 2007 to the Sex Capital of Europe Amsterdam. After arriving from Paris we just went to our cousin’s house and on that day we didn’t go anywhere in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is a very beautiful city and as you all know prostitution and cannabis are legalized there. So let me explain what are the stuff I did there are.  

On Sunday morning, we went to the Amsterdam city. The main attraction is the city is the Dam Square. It is located in the center of the city. In Dam Square you will see the Madame Tussauds of Amsterdam. During my visit the main Wax figure was Johnny Depp (The Hero of Pirates of the Caribbean).

Museums in Amsterdam are among the main tourist attractions. One of the famous museum is the Sex Museum which is located in the Dam Square. Just 300 meters from the Dam Square, you can reach De Wallen. De Wallen is the largest and best-known red-light district in Amsterdam, a major tourist attraction.  I just walk through the street and didn’t commit in any activity.. ..Along the street you will see several hundred tiny apartment rented by the prostitutes who offer their services from behind a window. Along street you can also see sex toy shop, sex theatres and peep shows. Taking photographs in the area are prohibited, so I just manage to take one picture..

Later on we went to the Bloemenmarkt. Its flower market and in the market the mostly sell the Tulips Flower Bulbs. Not only flowers are sold in the market, but also cannabis products are sold there such as Cannabis Seed, Cannabis Lollys, Cannabis Biscuit and others. On Monday morning we planned to go for a tour in Amsterdam. The tour is to visit the Windmill and the clog factory which is also very popular in Amsterdam. We were in the city at 11.00am and the tour guide told us, that the tour will be only starting at 1.00pm. So what to do for 2 hours?? Cam Whore

The tour started at 1.00pm and the first destination is Zaanse Schans which is 45minutes from the City of Amsterdam. Zaanse Schans has well-preserved historic windmills and besides that there is also a clog factory. Clog is a traditional shoe in Amsterdam and it is made of wood. During our visit to the factory, one of the worker demonstrated how to make a clog shoe from a raw material of wooden.

The journey continues to Volendam. Volendam is well-known for its old fishing boats and the Dutch traditional clothing. Volendam is a former fishing village and from the village there is a regular ferry connection to Marken Island. So from Volendam we went to Marken by a ferry. And from Marken we returned to Amsterdam city at 6.00pm..After the tour we did some shopping and went back early cause the next day we are leaving to Kuala Lumpur.

On Tuesday the departure is at 12.00pm, and we were in the airport at 9.30am. So before leaving, we were also able to capture some pictures in the Amsterdam Airport. So that’s allbye bye to Amsterdam
